Guidance of the saw unit

High-performance sawing technology requires the use of backlash-free and low-maintenance guide systems. Two vertically-oriented square guide columns, one linear guidance unit with backlash-free adjusted slide carriages, and two preloaded, adjustable rollers on a guiding rail ensure high rigidity and cutting precision. Greater machining performance, shorter cutting times, higher band life, low-maintenance guidance system, and high availability are the hallmarks of the new KASTOtec.

Saw blade guidance

Side guiding via hydraulically preloaded carbide slide guides, with quick-lift device for rapid blade change.
Back guide via pendulum-mounted carbide slide guides. Automatic adjustment of the movable blade guide according to the width of material to be sawn.

Material quick-lift device

After the sawing process in the automatic cycle, the material is lifted approx. 2 mm from the feed-side saw band by a material quick-lift device while clamped (to increase blade life).
