HP60/40 Heating Element Welding Machine by BRANSON
The drive operates hydraulically, supported by precise positioning and control systems. The machine is equipped with its own vacuum pump.
Usable heating element area: width 600 mm x depth 400 mm
Max. part dimensions:
- Max. part width: 620 mm
- Max. part depth: 420 mm
- Max. part height (top): 350 mm
- Max. part height (bottom): 350 mm
(Combinations of part heights are possible, depending on contour)
- Max. working temperature for contact process: 400°C
The machine’s modular frame design enables easy retrofitting and modifications. Side doors in the welding area can be easily opened for straightforward changeovers. The automatic safety lift door provides high operator safety. The temperature controllers integrated in the control panel feature actual/target value displays. The operator interface is a Siemens PLC control device. Machine control is handled by a Siemens PLC (S7-300 control). The heating elements are fitted with temperature sensors for temperature regulation and serve as safety shut-off in case of over-temperature. The pin systems in the tool clamping surfaces enable reproducible positioning of fixtures and parts.
Advantages of the heating element welding technology:
- Secure welding of workpieces with minimal or varying wall thicknesses is possible.
- Low scrap rate due to precise and reproducible welds.
- Precise time, temperature, and force control allows even sensitive parts to be welded.
- Nearly all thermoplastics can be welded with this method.
- Different types of plastics can be welded together (compatibility should be checked).
