Altendorf Hand Guard

HAND GUARD Edition Single Flex:
With a single-side tilting saw unit, tilting range: 0-46°; equipped with quick-change system for the main saw blade, motorized height and tilt adjustment for the main saw blade. Motorized height and tilt adjustment with a maximum saw blade projection of 154 mm. The control is positioned at eye level, enabling you to set the saw blade height and tilt, and, depending on the selected control package, to adjust the speed and access further functions. The Altendorf double roller carriage is renowned for its smooth operation and precision running. It can be locked steplessly in any position. The large double rollers ensure the upper carriage remains perfectly aligned with the lower carriage on the respective guide rails. This running quality is maintained even after decades of use and exposure to dust and debris. The carriage design is an extremely rigid, distortion-resistant multi-chamber system. Additionally, a front support roller with a width of 300 mm is included.

HAND GUARD Single-Sided Tilting: The HAND GUARD system is based on early hazard detection, protecting the operator from injury and functioning in every working situation. The camera-based system detects hands and, using artificial intelligence, predicts their trajectory in advance. A visual LED color band notifies the user of varying risk zones—ranging from safe to system activation—to warn of imminent danger. If the risk persists, or the hand moves directly towards the rotating saw blade, the blade is rapidly lowered without causing injury to the operator, damage to the machine, or the material. Hand Guard supports the processing of all materials approved for panel saws, including wet timber, aluminum, and plastics. Not deactivatable as standard; always active. On single-side tilting machines, saw blades up to 500 mm can be fully retracted below table level. All approved, existing, or used tools may be utilized. No special requirements apply.
