ZEISS DSM 962
The digitized scanning electron microscope DSM 962 is equipped with an integrated 4 MB image memory, a 40 MB internal hard drive for image storage, as well as drives for external storage of data and images. This allows fast and easy acquisition of information about the composition and morphology of specimen surfaces, extending well into the sub-micrometer range. With a magnification range from 5x to 300,000x, both macrostructures and microstructures can be examined.
Special accessories allow the application range to be significantly expanded, enabling, for example, analytical examinations in micro-areas of the surface.
Operation of the device can be carried out using conventional control elements as well as via keyboard or optional mouse. Electron optics and vacuum control are managed conventionally. Image memory functions are operated via the keyboard or optional mouse. Centrally located on the control panel is a dedicated information screen displaying menus.
This user manual is intended as a guide to help users achieve the best possible results with the device. The explanations have been kept as simple as possible to provide even less experienced users with the necessary tools.
