Process description:
Shells are delivered via containers and emptied into a receiving hopper. Inside this hopper, three screw conveyors transport the material onto an inclined screw conveyor. This system doses the shells into the dryers. Vibration moves the shells upward through the dryer and over a contact plate, which is heated to 180°C, thus heating the shells.

A temperature monitoring unit is installed at the dryer outlet, ensuring that only shells heated to the correct temperature proceed to the next drying stage. If the required temperature is not reached, product feed is stopped and the shells are recirculated. Generated vapors are centrally extracted and discharged.

The dried shells are conveyed via two screw conveyors to a big bag station for packaging. Upon request, a centrifuge can be installed between the dosing hopper and the first dryer to separate any free-flowing liquids.

The plant is heated by two gas-fired thermal oil heaters. The system is designed for a throughput of 2 t/h with an evaporation capacity of kg/h.
